The bond between humans and horses is magical! Hippotherapy has proven to provide amazing benefits for children with special needs. Health insurance reimburses only a portion of the total price per treatment hour. At Spirit Reins we strive to serve as many patients as possible regardless of ability to pay.
Your support is vital for us to continue providing services to those in need. Each year we must raise money to help with the cost of treatment, so we can continue to provide this valuable service to children with special needs. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible!

Volunteering at Spirit Reins Equine Center
As a non-profit, we strive to keep our overhead low in order to ensure we have more funds available for our therapy program.
Some of the areas volunteers interested in helping our program can assist us include:
- Side walking and leading the horses
- Helping with horse care, such as feeding, cleaning/filling water buckets, getting hay, etc.
- Properly grooming and putting tack on therapy horses for daily sessions.
- Assisting in upkeep and maintenance of tack, tack room, and arena.
