Our Story

Our journey began 14 years ago!  We had a desire to

serve individuals with disabilities with a treatment strategy

not available to anyone in our area.  We knew the magical

bond between horses and humans and wanted to share this

experience with individuals with disabilities.  Spirit Reins

began serving 3 patients in the fall of 2008.  By the spring

of 2009, we officially became a 501(c)(3) non-profit

organization. We now average serving 21 patients during

the spring and fall sessions. Spirit Reins currently provides

speech therapy incorporating Hippotherapy as a treatment

strategy 12 weeks in the spring and 12 weeks in the fall, offering services within a traditional clinical setting during the summer and winter months.  We all feel blessed beyond measure to have the opportunity to work with each family we serve!
